my friend kristine invited a few of us to join her family with their traditional taffy pulling. it was a lot of WORK and really fun.
here is the group with their bundles of taffy. don't worry, i did my share, but i was taking a break to rest my muscles or to put them to better use- taking photos!
kristine and jessamyn are combining the main taffy with the chocolate to get a striped effect. they struggled a bit. but in the end it worked out just fine.
kristine's brothers work on batch #2- which apparently is how it is supposed to look like
next we have to cut off the taffy into bite size pieces and coat in powdered sugarthe pieces are then wrapped in wax paper and wala... there you have it. homemade taffy folks!
